During the manufacturing process, i.e. deep drawing, pressing, cold forming,
the formation of Deformation Martensite can occur. The Deformation Martensite
negatively affects the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel.
Solution: The Deformation Martensite can be removed by etching or
electro-polishing. |
