Bodycote appoints VP of Automotive region for North AmericaWednesday 12th May – Eric Hutton Bodycote is pleased to announce that Eric Hutton has accepted the position as Vice President of Automotive Region within the North American AGI business. In Eric’s new role he will be responsible for managing operations and sales for the following plants: Canton Ronda, Livonia, Highland Heights, and Rochester, USA; Silao, Mexico; and Newmarket and Kitchener, Canada. Eric has worked at Bodycote since 1993, beginning his career in the sales department. In 2005 a plan had developed to build the Livonia plant which would specialise in low pressure carburising. Eric took the assignment and built the Livonia plant. After the completion of Livonia, the same opportunity arose in Silao, Mexico. From there Eric’s operations responsibilities eventually grew into supporting five plants as a Regional Operations Manager. Eric has a Bachelor Degree of Marketing and Master Degree in Management. Dan McCurdy Bodycote appoints VP of General Industrial business for NA/AsiaTuesday 11th May – Mario Ciampini Bodycote is pleased to announce Mario Ciampini has accepted the position as Vice President of the General Industry Region within the North American AGI business. In Mario’s new role he will be responsible for managing operations and sales for the following plants: Eden Prairie, New Berlin, Sturtevant, Melrose Park, and Indianapolis. Mario began his career working in the finance department for General Electric. After working at General Electric for several years, Mario took a position with General Tire of Canada working as their Vice President of Finance, followed by similar position with TI Group (London, UK). In 1990 a position with furnace manufacturer, Ipsen International, presented itself and he worked as their Chief Financial Officer for two years. In 1992 Mario was promoted to President, CEO of Ipsen Americas & Asia, where he remained for 14 years. In 2006 Bodycote asked Mario to join its team working as the Vice President of Business Development in Asia. He has spent the last 4 years working in Asia supporting the region through acquisition and greenfields in China, Singapore, India, Japan, and Thailand. Mario has a Bachelor in Business Management and Commerce as well as a Master of Business Administration from Ryerson University of Toronto, Canada. Dan McCurdy Bodycote appoints VP of ADE MarketingMonday 10th May – Byron Williamson Bodycote plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Byron Williamson as Vice President, Global Marketing, Aerospace, Defence & Energy (ADE). In this role Byron will be responsible for managing the marketing organisation for Bodycote’s ADE business and will serve on the ADE Leadership Team reporting to ADE President, Tracy Glende. Byron comes to Bodycote after a 19 year career in the power industry, for the last ten years with General Electric, in a variety of marketing and product management roles. Most recently Byron was the General Manager of a $220 million electrical products business based in Plainville, Connecticut. Tracy Glende, ADE President, commented: “We are extremely excited to have a person with Byron’s marketing and business experience joining the global ADE team. Byron’s significant experience in one of our major market segments and his fundamental understanding of marketing and business strategy will be critical to our success as we continue expanding our global business into new areas such as surface technology and into emerging markets such as China, Mexico, and Eastern Europe.” Tracy Glende Bodycote appoints VP of North American ADE OperationsFriday 7th May – Mike Sobieski Bodycote plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Sobieski as Vice President, North America Operations, Aerospace, Defence & Energy (ADE). In this role Mike will be responsible for managing the ADE locations in North America and will serve on the Global ADE Leadership Team reporting to ADE President, Tracy Glende. Mike comes to Bodycote after an 18 year career in the Aerospace and Automotive industries, most recently as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Holly Performance Products in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In previous senior roles Mike has managed numerous operations in the US and Europe. Mike has significant experience in the deployment of Lean Manufacturing and World-Class Quality Systems. Mike has practiced these skills both in the manufacturing and the academic environment having consulted and instructed at Eastern Michigan University. ADE President, Tracy Glende, said: “We are extremely excited to have a person of Mike’s calibre joining the global ADE team and we look forward Mike continuing the drive for safety, productivity and the highest level of quality within our operations.” Tracy Glende Bodycote appoints Senior VP of ADE SalesThursday 6th May – David Hamilton Bodycote plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hamilton as Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Aerospace, Defence & Energy (ADE). In this role David will be responsible for managing the global sales organisation for the ADE business and will serve on the Global ADE Leadership Team reporting to ADE President, Tracy Glende. David comes to Bodycote after 30 years of sales experience, most recently as the Vice-President of Strategic Sales for Honeywell Process Solutions. During his career David has held a number of sales leadership positions serving the Oil & Gas, Power, and Chemicals industries, managing sales targets in excess of $1B. Tracy Glende, President of the ADE business, said: “We are extremely excited to have a person with David’s strategic sales experience joining the global ADE team.
